 Notice Survey

As of October 1, 2013, all Connecticut law enforcement agencies with the authority to conduct a traffic stop must distribute a notice of motorist rights for each traffic stop conducted. The notice is printed on a 3x5 index card with instructions printed in both english and spanish. The card reads as follows:

"For instructions on filing a complaint if you believe you have been stopped, detained, or subject to search solely on the basis of your race, ethnicity/ancestry, age, gender, sexual orientation, relion or membership in a protected class, or to file a commendation, please contact the police agency of the officer who stopped you or the Commission on Human Rights and opportunities (860)541-3400 or visit: www.ct.gov/opm/cjppd/racialprofiling or www.ct.gov/chro"

If you received an infraction, please check the envelope to see if the index card was placed inside.
